Most people are going to say Mike Glennon is the biggest prospect in this game, but I think it may just be Jordan Matthews (Photo: US Presswire)

This is one of the more underrated match-ups of this bowl season as NC State will travel to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt is pseudo home game. The Commodores are considered to be one of the high rising teams in the SEC while the Wolfpack come in with one of the hottest QB names in the county in Mike Glennon. This will be a good test for Glennon as the Commodores rank 10th overall in Pass Defense.

NC State:
#8 QB Mike Glennon 6’5, 232 lbs.
Glennon’s name has been one of the hottest out there since Mel Kiper Jr mentioned him a few weeks ago on a conference call. Kiper said that Glennon could be the first senior QB taken and while we don’t agree with that evaluation we do find it interesting how fast he has risen on some boards since those comments. Glennon is your classic tall pocket passer. He sees the field well and has a big arm that he loves to unleash down the field. Glennon must show remain patient against Vanderbilt and not force the ball down the field which he’s been known to do at times. If Glennon can do that he will prove to many that he’s the first round caliber QB Kiper sees as opposed to the 3rd Round QB we see.

#4 WR Tobias Palmer 5’11, 176 lbs.
#82 TE Asa Watson 6’4, 235 lbs.*
#78 OT Rob Crisp 6’7, 312 lbs.*
#79 OG RJ Mattes 6’6, 313 lbs.
#1 CB David Amerson 6’2, 194 lbs.*
#27 SAF Earl Wolff 6’0, 208 lbs.
#30 SAF Brandan Bishop 6’2, 205 lbs.

Vanderbilt
#87 WR Jordan Matthews 6’3, 205 lbs.*
Jordan Matthews has emerged over the last two years as a big play threat for this Vanderbilt offense. His numbers while good are hampered some by inconsistent Offensive Line and Quaterback play. Matthews projects to the NFL as a true #1 WR who has the size, speed, and hands to make the big play. He’ll see a struggling David Amerson in this game and it will be a good match-up for him. The winner of this battle may just end up being the on who declares for the 2013 NFL Draft.

#11 QB Jordan Rodgers 6’1, 212 lbs.
#2 RB Zac Stacy 5’9, 210 lbs.
#5 RB Warren Norman 5’10, 205 lbs.*
#67 OT Wesley Johnson 6’5, 285 lbs.*
#90 DE Walker May 6’5, 250 lbs.
#84 DT Rob Lohr 6’4, 290 lbs.
#8 CB Trey Wilson 5’11, 195 lbs.
#1 SAF Kenny Ladler 6’0, 205 lbs.

Prediction: NC State 28 Vanderbilt 24
